What can we learn across sectors and settings about using qualitative evidence to humanise decision making and inform SDG policies? Researchers, policy makers, and other stakeholders from across the world are invited to submit abstracts and workshops for the first Symposium on using qualitative evidence to inform decisions in the SDG era, to be held from 9 to 11 October 2019 in Brasilia.

We welcome abstract submissions from all sectors and that address or discuss innovative ways of using qualitative evidence to broaden and humanise decision making processes to achieve the SDGs. We also invite submissions that explore the tools and methods needed to support the use of qualitative evidence in policy and practice; and that focus on ways of strengthening capacity within and across sectors to produce and use qualitative evidence.

We invite you to also submit workshop proposals that showcase novel methods and approaches as well as workshops that are aim to strengthen the capacity of people new to this area of work.
